The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium

Fun in the great outdoors! Located in the majestic trees of the Aquarium, between the Marsh Pavilion and the Bay & Ocean Pavilion, you will find our amazing aerial forest park. The first of its kind in Virginia! Experience adventure in the trees on your own or with friends, family, and parties. Ages five to adult are welcome. This is a must-do outdoor experience that the whole family can enjoy!

Look up! You'll see a series of platforms in the trees connected by cable, wood, rope and zip lines to form bridges. Each bridge presents a different challenge of how to get to the next platform. A series of bridges form aerial trails throughout the forest. Relax, you don't have to be a circus acrobat or Tarzan! Choose from eleven different color-coded trails, from beginner (easier and lower to the ground) to intermediate, to advanced (the most challenging). Climb with Confidence! You will receive a complete safety orientation before your climb. Our double-connected, always-locked-on climbing system helps keep your climbing harness securely attached to the safety line at all times. The trails are intentionally designed for your self-discovery, making lessons unnecessary. Designed to keep trees and forests healthy. Only 3 minutes from the Virginia Beach boardwalk!

Children`s Museum of Virginia

Step into a world where bubbles grow bigger than you are, where the forces of energy electrify and spark the imagination, where you can be a farmer, a banker, a scientist, a stargazer. Come to where the big people think you're having an educational experience and you're just having a lot of fun! Give them the run of The City! We've made it kid size and theirs to explore from the bank to the market, from the fire engine to the pet area. Get the inside track on Trains. Little kids (and big ones, too) love trains, and oh, have we got a huge collection of trains! Clanging and puffing and zooming like you knew they could. Adhesion. Cohesion. And bursts of Laughter. It's the new Bubble Room. Make them. Pop them. Stand inside one! Once your child has experienced standing in a bubble, science will never be the same! Inspire tomorrow's Stars. Nothing quite amazes or inspires a child like that first trip to a planetarium. Take that trip with them at the Children's Museum.

Ocean Breeze Waterpark

In 1974, Ocean Breeze Waterpark began with three mat slides and the distinction of being the only waterpark in Virginia Beach. Thirty-nine years later, the park has grown to over 30 rides, slides, and attractions, and strives to be the family destination of choice for locals and tourists alike. Our typical season runs from the weekend before Memorial Day to the weekend after Labor Day. Ready to float down the quarter-mile Adventure River? How about another turn, or four, on the monster slide complex Neptune's Revenge? Maybe the thought of just sitting poolside with a funnel cake in one hand and a book in the other makes you break into a full grin. Our zero depth entry million-gallon wave pool gives you the option to ride the waves or relax in the shallow end. Even the littlest buccaneers can go on a high-seas adventure in our water playground with a pint-sized pirate ship, and tipping bucket in Hook's Lagoon. No matter how old, young or daring, you will get more smiles per gallon from your visit to Ocean Breeze Waterpark.
